麻瓜是开始于中国湖南西部小城张家界的一个音乐创作计划，作品涉及后摇滚和氛围等元素。
在2009年由湖南省会长沙返回故乡张家界之前，刘洋一直是另一支后摇滚乐队48V的吉他手。短暂休整之后，麻瓜于2014年加入1724唱片，并在此后以几乎每年一张的节奏，发行了11张唱片，此外还有14首单曲，收录于各合辑或单独以数字版发布。
麻瓜作品曾被提名阿比鹿音乐奖年度唱片，被Apple Music推荐。在国内外的乐评介绍中，被称为“梦幻，甚至光彩夺目”。
麻瓜创作的声音，往往通过吉他主导的旋律、低缓的背景人声和音效，描摹并再造那些貌似安静的场景。
这和麻瓜的目的一致：在平庸的日常和模式化的音乐类型中，找到并完成新的声音。

Muggle is a music project that began in Zhangjiajie, a small city in western Hunan, China, with works spanning post-rock, ambient and related styles.
Before returning from Changsha, the provincial capital, to his hometown of Zhangjiajie in 2009, Liu Yang had been the guitarist of another post-rock band, 48V. After a short break, Muggle joined 1724 Records in 2014 and has since maintained an almost one-album-per-year pace, releasing 11 albums along with 14 standalone singles featured on compilations or published digitally.
Muggle’s works have been nominated for the Abilu Music Awards and recommended by Apple Music. In both Chinese and international reviews, the music has been described as “dreamlike, even radiant.”
Built around guitar-led melodies, hushed background vocals and subtle textures, Muggle’s sound often sketches and reconstructs scenes that appear tranquil on the surface. This aligns with the project’s core intention: to discover and create new sonic paths amid ordinary daily life and within the confines of formulaic musical genres.
